Golden Buckeye

The nation's oldest public-private partnership to offer savings and more for older Ohioans and adults with disabilities.

The Golden Buckeye program has been helping older Ohioans and other eligible adults make community connections for more than four decades. The program empowers older Ohioans and others to become active, loyal customers who seek value and reward quality.

How to Get a Card

All Ohioans age 60 or older, as well as adults age 18-59 who have disabilities as defined by Social Security, are eligible for a free Golden Buckeye card.

Where to Use Your Card

The best way to use your Golden Buckeye Card is to ask. While some participating businesses advertise their participation, many do not. Anytime and anywhere you spend money, ask if they accept the card or offer another discount for which you may qualify. If they say "no," encourage them to sign up and tell them that you'll be a regular customer when they do!
